This Citizen offers a striking, character-rich aesthetic due to its heavily aged dial. Combined with a manually wound movement adjusted to three positions and a recently serviced mechanical condition, it represents an appealing example of mid-century Japanese watchmaking.
History
During the 1950s, Citizen produced reliable standard production models that helped establish their reputation for quality mechanical timepieces. Reference 1307095 features a 14K gold-filled case and is powered by a manual-winding movement. The Phynox branding on the dial refers to Citizen's proprietary mainspring alloy, a technical development of the period designed to improve durability and performance in their mechanical calibers.
