Serial Number: 9608
Movement: Automatic, 25 jewels
Dial: Silver sunburst with applied baton indices
Case Size: 34mm (excluding the crown)

Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean and attractive vintage dial features a well-preserved silver sunburst finish. Applied baton indices with black inserts provide excellent contrast, perfectly complemented by crisp black printing and a date window positioned at three o'clock. The lume dots at the outer edge of the indices remain intact, displaying a pleasing, warm patina. Sweeping above the dial, the original stick hands feature matching black inserts and luminous material that has aged consistently with the dial dots. The metal surfaces of the hands exhibit visible oxidation and patina, reflecting their age.
Case and Crystal
The 34mm stainless steel Oyster case features polished flanks and brushed lugs with traditional drilled lugholes. The watch retains its original Rolex-signed crown, displaying the coronet signature with an underline, though the knurling shows moderate wear. The engine-turned stainless steel bezel frames the dial handsomely, showing moderate wear and some softening of its textured edges. A flat acrylic crystal with a cyclops date magnifier protects the display, exhibiting light surface scratches visible under angled lighting. The case itself shows honest wear, with moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with age. Notably, there is heavy pitting and corrosion visible between the lugs, which partially obscures the serial number engraving.
Movement
Inside beats a Tudor-signed 25-jewel automatic movement, based on the ETA 2784, which operates at a high beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The rotor is distinctly engraved with "TUDOR" and "25 RUBIES AUTO-PRINCE SWISS MADE". Visually, the caliber maintains a generally clean appearance, showing only light surface marks on the rotor and plates, with no obvious signs of heavy corrosion or damage on the visible components. The timegrapher records a rate of -1-3s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a fresh black leather strap featuring an alligator grain pattern and white contrast stitching. The strap appears unworn or very lightly used and is secured by an unsigned steel pin buckle.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch presents beautifully on the wrist, anchored by its exceptionally clean dial. Wear is honest and consistent with its era, including oxidation on the hands, moderate scratches across the case, and softening of the engine-turned bezel. As noted, significant localized pitting and corrosion are present between the lugs. The acrylic crystal bears light surface scratches. Mechanically, the movement is running exceptionally well, supported by a strong timegrapher result.
Dimensions
The case measures 34mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Prince Oysterdate offers a highly attractive dial configuration with perfectly aged luminous material. The combination of the engine-turned bezel and the high-beat automatic movement makes this a highly capable and visually striking vintage daily wearer.
