Applied gold-tone indices and Seiko logos add depth to the display, complemented by an English and Japanese Kanji day and date window. Close inspection reveals visible spotting and surface degradation concentrated around the applied LM logo, along with minor dust particles visible under macro magnification. The gold-tone baton hands feature black central stripes and present clean surfaces, showing only very minor signs of oxidation under high magnification. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case is sharp and well-preserved, displaying strong geometry with well-defined edges. The original brushed finish on the top surfaces appears nicely retained, while the polished flanks show minor superficial scratches consistent with light wear. A smooth polished bezel is integrated seamlessly into the case design, exhibiting light handling marks without any significant dings. The unsigned crown is partially recessed into the side of the case at the three o'clock position, with its coin edge showing normal wear. Protecting the dial is a distinctive faceted cut-glass crystal that appears clear, with no major chips or deep scratches visible. Movement Powering the watch is the automatic Seiko caliber 5606A, featuring 23 jewels. The movement is equipped with a visible rotor that shows noticeable spotting and oxidation, while the underlying plates and bridges remain relatively clean. The timegrapher records a rate of -35-40s/day. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. The strap appears to be in unworn or very lightly worn condition, providing a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist. Condition Good vintage condition. The sharp stainless steel case retains its well-defined edges and original brushed finishing, showing only minor superficial scratches on the polished flanks. The distinctive faceted crystal remains clear and free of major flaws. The vibrant gradient dial displays localized spotting and surface degradation around the LM logo, alongside minor dust particles. The hands are clean, with only very slight oxidation visible under magnification. The movement exhibits noticeable spotting and oxidation on the rotor, though the plates and bridges appear relatively clean, and the caliber is running strong and steady on the timegrapher. Dimensions The case measures 36 mm in diameter (excluding the crown). Remarks The combination of a vibrant green-to-silver vertical gradient dial and a faceted cut-glass crystal gives this timepiece a highly distinctive aesthetic. Retaining its sharp case geometry and featuring an English and Kanji day wheel, this watch is a characteristic example of 1970s Japanese design. History The Seiko Lord Matic series was introduced in 1968 as a premium mid-tier offering positioned just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko lines. The 5606-7310 reference was produced between 1973 and 1975 and is known for various dial executions, including this striking green gradient variation. Powering the watch is the Seiko caliber 5606, a reliable automatic movement that was produced from 1968 to 1976. Payment and Shipping Payment must be completed within 1–3 days after purchase.
