This uncommon Rado Mannheim immediately draws the eye with its striking vertical brushed silver dial and distinctive 1970s cushion case geometry. As a collector favourite from a highly creative era of watchmaking, it pairs excellent dial preservation with charming details like the applied 'M' logo and a signature red date display.

Dial and Hands
The silver dial is exceptionally well-preserved, defined by a striking vertical brushed texture. It features the applied Rado anchor logo, the unique Mannheim 'M', and faceted indices. The printing remains clean with no significant spotting or damage, while the red date numerals at 3 o'clock provide a vibrant touch of color. The baton hands are fitted with lume strips; the metal surfaces show visible oxidation and aging, and the lume remains intact but has aged appropriately for the era.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel cushion case features a classic 1970s TV-shape profile with a polished finish. The case displays honest wear consistent with age, showing moderate scratches and scuffs on the polished surfaces, though the edges remain relatively well-defined. The watch retains its signed crown featuring the Rado anchor logo, which presents in good condition with defined knurling. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, showing some light surface scratches visible in reflections.
Movement
Inside is a 25-jewel Swiss automatic movement, featuring a gold-tone finish on the rotor and plates alongside engraved Rado signatures. The general appearance is clean but shows age, with visible spotting and patina on the rotor. Recording -11-15s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching, which appears new or minimally worn.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial remains in excellent shape, while the hands exhibit visible oxidation and aging. The stainless steel case shows honest wear with moderate scratches and scuffs across its polished surfaces, and the domed crystal displays light surface scratches. The movement shows spotting and patina on the rotor, though timegrapher data confirms it is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 36 mm (excluding the crown).

This Rado Mannheim stands out for its unique dial branding and highly attractive vertical texture. It offers a wonderful opportunity to acquire an uncommon 1970s cushion-cased model with strong mechanical performance.
