Dial and Hands
The silver sunburst dial is a visual delight, radiating elegantly under light and presenting in highly attractive, well-preserved condition. It features a crisp sans-serif Green Horse print and a classic serif Rado signature. The dial is adorned with applied faceted block indices featuring black center stripes, perfectly matched by the silver dauphine hands which also carry black central accents. A striking green twin seahorse emblem sits proudly at the nine o'clock position, beautifully balancing the date aperture at three o'clock. The date window is framed in silver and displays distinctive red numerals. The iconic Rado red jewel anchor is positioned below twelve o'clock. Upon close inspection, the dial remains exceptionally clean, showing only faint scattered microscopic age spots that are entirely consistent with its age and do not detract from its impressive overall presentation.
Case and Crystal
The 34 millimeter stainless steel case features a classic mid-century profile with sweeping lugs and a smooth polished bezel. The lug chamfers and case transitions remain well-defined, showing honest, light surface wear consistent with careful vintage use. The signed crown bears the Rado anchor logo and operates smoothly. The reverse reveals a robust screw-down decagonal caseback, centered by a remarkably crisp Rado twin seahorse Water-Sealed medallion that retains excellent depth and texture. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal featuring an internal cyclops magnifier over the date, which presents clearly with minimal signs of handling.
Movement
Inside beats a robust Swiss automatic movement, beautifully finished with gold-plated bridges and a matching rotor signed by Rado. The movement is clearly marked with twenty-five jewels, showcasing the mechanical reliability expected from the era. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. The timegrapher results indicate a performance of +18 to +23 seconds per day.
Strap
The watch is paired with a handsome black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching, securing comfortably to the wrist and perfectly complementing the black accents found on the dial and hands.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The dial is remarkably well-preserved with only minor, visually unobtrusive signs of aging. The case remains sharp with honest wear, and the prominent caseback medallion is exceptionally crisp. The movement is clean and running vigorously.
