Dial and Hands
The silver dial features a subtle sunburst or brushed finish, creating a clean and highly legible display accented by attractive applied faceted indices and an applied Omega logo. Upon close inspection under magnification, minor dust particles or very light spotting are visible. The steel dauphine hands are original to the watch and show expected age-related oxidation, spotting, and surface wear on their facets.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case offers honest vintage wear while preserving its overall geometry. It shows moderate surface scratches alongside minor dings visible on the lugs and the edge of the smooth, integrated polished bezel. The caseback features a brushed center framed by a polished perimeter. The watch is fitted with a signed Omega crown whose knurling remains well-defined. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial and remains clear with no major scratches or cracks visible.
Movement
Inside is the manual-winding Omega caliber 284, featuring 17 jewels and the brand's signature copper-toned plating which remains in excellent condition. The movement presents a clean overall appearance with minor marks on the screw heads and no obvious signs of corrosion or heavy moisture damage. Engravings correctly detail the caliber, jewel count, and serial number. Timegrapher: +1+3s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is paired with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. This classic leather strap complements the vintage aesthetic and appears to be in lightly used or near-new condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The stainless steel case displays honest wear with moderate scratches and minor dings, while the dial remains highly attractive with only faint spotting visible under magnification. The original dauphine hands show expected oxidation. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the caliber 284 movement is performing very strongly.
