History The Omega Genève line was introduced in the mid-twentieth century as a tribute to the brand's highest quality standards achieved at their facilities in Geneva. Initially positioned as a premium dress watch line, by the 1970s the Genève collection had evolved to encompass a wide variety of reliable standard production models for both men and women. These watches were designed to offer the renowned precision of Omega in versatile, everyday configurations. The caliber 625 was a staple manual-winding movement of this era, highly valued for its compact size and dependable architecture. This specific movement allowed Omega to create elegant, slim case profiles without sacrificing the mechanical integrity and long-term reliability the Swiss manufacturer is celebrated for.
