Dial and Hands
The dial is a masterclass in minimalist design, featuring a beautiful vertically brushed champagne surface that catches the light with a subtle, stardust-like texture. The dial condition is exceptionally clean, free from any significant spotting, moisture marks, stains, or surface damage. The typography is crisp and perfectly preserved, with the printed black Omega logo and classic De Ville script remaining sharp and legible. Applied black baton hour markers, which are elegantly doubled at the twelve o'clock position, provide striking contrast against the bright dial. The matching black baton hands are equally pristine, completing the watch's highly legible and sophisticated aesthetic.
Case and Crystal
The 25 mm case is elegantly proportioned, featuring a thin polished bezel and straight lugs that wear beautifully on the wrist. The gold plating, clearly marked as 20 microns on the inner caseback, shows honest signs of vintage wear. While the top surfaces retain a warm, polished luster, there is visible tarnish and localized verdigris on the hidden underside edges near the caseback seam, which is entirely consistent with its age and historical use. The ribbed crown is correctly signed with the Omega logo and remains sharp to the touch. The stainless steel snap-on caseback is in excellent shape, retaining its factory vertical brushing. The crystal is clear and well-preserved, offering an unobstructed view of the flawless dial beneath.
Movement
Inside beats the Omega Caliber 625, a highly reliable 17-jewel manual wind movement finished in Omega's signature copper tone. A close inspection of the movement reveals it to be remarkably clean, with clear stampings of the caliber number and the serial number 39471033, which accurately dates the production of this timepiece to 1975. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. +1 to +3 seconds per day. Strong movement performance, recently serviced movement.
Strap
The watch is fitted with an original Omega black strap featuring a refined fabric-like textured surface. The underside of the leather is clearly stamped with the Omega branding and Swiss Made designation. It is completed by its original gold-plated buckle, which proudly displays the vintage applied Omega logo, tying the entire presentation together perfectly.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are stunningly preserved, standing out as the absolute highlight of this piece with a near-mint appearance. The case exhibits normal handling marks and localized wear to the gold plating on the reverse edges, representing an honest and untouched vintage life. The movement is remarkably clean and running with exceptional precision.
