An applied gold-tone Omega logo sits below the twelve o'clock position, accompanied by crisp black printed text. The simple black stick hands provide excellent visual contrast against the dial, remaining highly legible and minimalist. Both the dial and hands are exceptionally clean, with a finish free of visible oxidation, spotting, staining, or damage.
Case and Crystal
The gold-tone case maintains a clean and elegant minimalist profile, showing only light surface scratches consistent with careful wear. A thin, smooth gold-tone bezel is integrated into the case design, displaying minor handling marks. The well-preserved caseback features an engraved Omega logo, the 'de ville' signature, and the 'TOOL 104' designation. A gold-tone scalloped crown, clearly signed with the Omega logo in relief, completes the side profile. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, presenting no significant scratches, crazing, or chips.

The De Ville line represents Omega's long-standing dedication to reliable mechanical watchmaking. The timegrapher records a rate of +12+15s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a classic black leather strap featuring tonal stitching, perfectly complementing the dress watch aesthetic. The inner lining is stamped with '17' alongside gold 'OMEGA' text, showing moderate creasing and wear from previous use. It is secured by a gold-tone pin buckle clearly signed with the Omega logo.

The vertically brushed champagne dial and black hands are exceptionally clean, showing no visible spots, damage, or oxidation. The domed acrylic crystal remains clear. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result of +12+15s/day, the movement is performing very strongly.

The case measures 33mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
Remarks
This 1970s De Ville succeeds through its striking visual contrast and careful preservation. The vertically brushed champagne dial paired with stark black markers provides superb legibility, while the signed crown and signed buckle complete a highly cohesive and elegant vintage Omega.
History
Originally introduced as part of the Seamaster line, the De Ville became a standalone collection in 1967. Omega created the De Ville to offer a more streamlined, elegant alternative to their robust sports models, focusing on refined urban design. By the 1970s, the collection had fully established its own identity, characterized by slim profiles, minimalist dials, and thoughtful case geometries. These pieces remain highly appreciated by collectors for their pure dress watch aesthetic and reliable mechanical foundations.
