History
During the 1970s, Longines continued its tradition of producing elegant, slim dress watches suitable for formal and everyday wear. The caliber L 847 series was a reliable manual wind movement utilized extensively during this era to achieve the thin profiles desired in classic dress timepieces. This specific example highlights the brand's attention to dial texture and refined aesthetics, representing a handsome period of Swiss watchmaking.
