History The Longines Admiral collection emerged in the mid-twentieth century as a robust and reliable automatic offering within the brand's catalog. The five-star designation on the dial quickly became a hallmark of the line, signifying top-tier quality and mechanical performance. During the 1970s, Longines embraced dynamic case geometries, transitioning from traditional round profiles to bolder tonneau and cushion shapes. This era of the Admiral line reflects a period of confident design, offering timepieces that were both durable for daily wear and stylistically distinct.
