History During the late 1960s, Bulova produced a wide variety of robust automatic timepieces tailored for everyday wear. The cushion case design became highly popular during this era, offering a slightly more substantial footprint on the wrist while maintaining elegant proportions. The inclusion of the ballerina caseback engraving was a signature touch for many of Bulova's capable models from this period. Equipped with their reliable in-house automatic calibers, these watches represent a highly creative and productive era for the American-founded brand.
