Brand: Seiko Model: Crown Reference Number: J15003E Serial Number: 3970440 Movement: Manual wind caliber 560 Dial: Silver sunburst with applied gold-tone indices Case Size: 36mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Gold-plated Production Year: 1963 Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Timegrapher: +3+5s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands La versione presenta un quadrante argento satinato eccezionalmente pulito e ben conservato. L'interno della fondello mostra verdigris e ossidazione, e l'interno è contrassegnato EGP BACK GOLDFILLED. Movement All'interno batte il calibro Seikosha 560 a carica manuale. Condition Excellent vintage condition. The dial is pristine and exceptionally well-preserved, while the hands show only minor surface oxidation under magnification. The case exhibits honest wear, including moderate surface scratches on the lugs and flanks, alongside internal oxidation and verdigris on the caseback interior. The crystal is clear, and the movement is clean. Supported by the strong timegrapher results, the mechanical performance is highly impressive. Dimensions The case measures 36mm in diameter (excluding the crown). Remarks This Seiko Crown offers a pristine dial and strong mechanical performance. The classic 1960s design and clean Seikosha movement make it a compelling choice for collectors of early Japanese dress watches. History The Seiko Crown was introduced in 1959 as a premium model designed to surpass the Seiko Marvel, and it served as the mechanical and aesthetic foundation for the first Grand Seiko. The watch is powered by the manually wound Seikosha Caliber 560, which features Seiko's Diashock anti-shock system and a large balance wheel.
