History
Introduced in 1959, the Seiko Crown was designed to succeed the Marvel as the brand's premier luxury watch. This 1964 example represents a standard and well-regarded production model from Seiko's mid-century lineup. Driven by the respected manual-winding Seikosha caliber 560, the Crown series helped establish the design language and mechanical reliability that would define Seiko's dress watches throughout the ensuing decades.
