    About This Watch

Now available at auction from Second Vintage Presenting a classic 1980s TAG Heuer sports watch design, this reference 934.213 stands out through its highly distinctive 12-sided bezel and an exceptionally well-preserved textured silver and grey dial. Brand: TAG Heuer Model: 3000 Professional Reference Number: 934.213 Movement: Quartz caliber 955 414 Dial: Textured silver/grey with luminous markers Case Size: 37 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless steel, gold-tone bezel and accents Production Year: 1980s Condition: Good vintage condition. Dial and Hands The dial features a clean, highly legible textured silver and grey finish that remains exceptionally well preserved. Its attractive subtle texture provides an excellent backdrop for the crisp, intact printed text. The luminous plots display an even, mild aging with no significant degradation. The gold-tone Mercedes style hands maintain their original appearance, showing only minor age-related oxidation visible under magnification, while their luminous material perfectly matches the dial indices. Case and Crystal The matte sandblasted stainless steel case displays honest wear consistent with its age and tool watch nature. Moderate scratches and handling marks are present on the flanks and lugs, and the edges show normal wear. The watch features a distinctive 12-sided bezel designed with small projecting balls on each facet to improve grip. This bezel exhibits heavy loss of its gold-tone plating throughout, alongside scratches, dings, and some missing black paint within the engraved numerals. The signed gold-tone crown also shows visible wear and plating loss on its edges. A flat crystal protects the dial, appearing clear with no major scratches or chips visible. Movement Inside the case beats the quartz caliber 955 414, marked with seven jewels. The movement appears clean with a battery installed, showing no obvious signs of corrosion or moisture damage. The caliber is clearly engraved with TAG HEUER 1.90 and 955 414, reflecting its correct period specification. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet, featuring two-tone jubilee-style links and endlinks stamped 457/3. It is a well-worn original bracelet presenting heavy cosmetic wear, including significant gold-tone plating loss on the center links, as well as scratches and scuffs across the links and the signed clasp. The bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist size of up to 18cm. Condition Good vintage condition. The watch presents an honest, well-worn exterior that contrasts with an excellently preserved dial. The stainless steel case shows moderate scratches and handling marks, while the gold-tone bezel, crown, and two-tone bracelet exhibit heavy plating loss and scuffs from regular use. The dial and crystal remain remarkably clean, and the quartz movement appears visually clean and well-kept. Dimensions The case size is 37 mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This reference 934.213 offers a fantastic dial texture and the distinct geometry of the 3000 series bezel. It is a highly legible and charismatic daily wearer that proudly displays its history of use while retaining strong dial aesthetics. History The TAG Heuer 3000 Series was introduced as a standard production model in the 1980s and had a relatively short production run, remaining in the catalog for just over five years. Designed with a highly distinctive 12-sided bezel featuring small projecting balls on each facet to improve grip, the line was built to be both functional and visually striking. Reference 934.213 represents the two-tone, three-hand configuration of this series, reflecting the definitive aesthetic of 1980s sports watches during a transitional era for the brand. / Second Vintage SKU: TAG-XXX-0002
