Dial and Hands

Applied faceted indices and a raised Seiko logo add depth to the display, complemented by a clean day-date window positioned at 3 o'clock. The surface remains free of any visible spotting, staining, or degradation. Time is indicated by baton hands with white central inserts, providing a clean and highly legible contrast against the blue background. The hands display clean surfaces with no visible oxidation or corrosion.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features an integrated lug design characterized by brushed top surfaces and polished flanks. It exhibits honest vintage wear with preserved original lines, showing moderate surface scratches and handling marks consistent with age. Despite this wear, the case geometry and edges remain relatively well-defined. A polished fixed bezel frames the dial, displaying light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. The watch is fitted with a recessed crown located at 3 o'clock. On the reverse, the distinctive caseback includes a dedicated battery hatch designed for easy changes. Movement
Powering the watch is the Seiko quartz caliber 3863A. The movement is visibly clean, presenting no visible corrosion or battery leakage, and a battery is currently present. The caliber is clearly engraved with "SEIKO", "3863A", and "JAPAN".
Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed stainless steel link bracelet with honest wear. The endlinks are stamped XAB640, and the bracelet secures via a signed Seiko clasp. It shows moderate surface scratches and wear on the links and clasp, consistent with the case. The bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist fit of 18 cm.

Excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are exceptionally well-preserved, showing no visible degradation. The case, bezel, and original bracelet display honest vintage wear, with moderate surface scratches and handling marks that align with the age of the watch, while the overall case geometry remains well-defined.
