Dial and Hands
The dial is exceptionally well preserved and highly legible, featuring a silver sunburst finish that interacts beautifully with the light. It is detailed with applied baton indices featuring black inserts, a framed date window at three o'clock, and the applied Omega logo. The surface is remarkably clean, showing no visible spotting or damage. The matching stick hands feature identical black inserts and present in clean condition with no visible oxidation, perfectly completing the dial furniture.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case displays honest vintage wear, featuring a combination of polished and brushed finishes. The geometry remains sound, with light surface scratches consistent with normal wear over the decades, and absolutely no major dents or deep gouges. The smooth polished bezel similarly shows light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. The fluted crown is signed with the Omega logo and remains in good condition with defined knurling. Above the dial sits a domed acrylic crystal, featuring the Omega logo etched directly in the center; it is clear with minimal signs of wear and free of deep scratches or cracks.
Movement
Powering this timepiece is the in-house automatic caliber 684. The movement displays Omega's signature copper-colored finish and a clean appearance with no visible corrosion or damage. The visible engravings clearly read OMEGA WATCH Co, SWISS, 684, alongside the serial number 31060790. Recording +11+12s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
This watch is fitted with its original signed stainless steel beads of rice bracelet, delivering classic vintage Omega character. The bracelet features endlinks stamped 54 and secures via a signed Omega clasp. It exhibits moderate wear and stretch consistent with its age, accommodating a maximum wrist size of 17.5cm.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The stainless steel case and smooth bezel present honest wear, characterized by light surface scratches but no significant dents or deep gouges. The silver sunburst dial and matching hands are exceptionally clean, free of visible spotting or oxidation. The original etched acrylic crystal is well preserved. The original beads of rice bracelet shows moderate stretch expected of its era. The movement is clean and visually excellent.
