The printed text remains crisp and highly legible. Scattered across the dial surface, particularly in the lower half, is visible spotting and an attractive vintage patina. The black baton hands show age-appropriate wear, with light oxidation on the surfaces and aged, darkened lume plots. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case retains its polished finish and preserved overall geometry, presenting honest wear consistent with its age. Moderate scratches and scuffs are visible on the smooth integrated steel bezel, lugs, and case flanks, while the caseback shows typical surface scratches. The watch is fitted with a signed Omega crown featuring well-defined knurling and light wear. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, remaining clear with only light surface wear typical of the material and no major deep scratches or cracks. Movement Inside is the manual wind Omega caliber 601, engraved with its 17-jewel count and adjustment to two positions. The copper-colored plating is bright and well-preserved, with clean screw heads and no obvious signs of heavy corrosion or damage. Timegrapher: +17+19s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is paired with a high-quality black leather strap featuring a crocodile pattern. The strap appears in very good condition with minimal wear and is secured by a steel buckle signed with the Omega logo. Condition Good vintage condition. The case and bezel show moderate scratches and scuffs that reflect honest wear, while the dial displays noticeable spotting and an attractive patina, especially in the lower half. The hands exhibit light oxidation and darkened lume. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 35 mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This Genève offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a classic manual wind Omega with well-preserved mechanical performance. The contrasting black dial accents and the presence of the signed crown and buckle make it a highly appealing dress watch for any traditional collection. History The Omega Genève line was introduced in the 1950s as a premium dress watch collection and eventually became a widely available but highly respected staple of the brand's catalog. By the 1970s, the Genève represented Omega's commitment to producing elegant, reliable, and straightforward mechanical timepieces. The manual wind caliber 601 inside this example is well-regarded among collectors for its robust architecture and dependable timekeeping, securing its place as a classic vintage dress watch.
