Dial and Hands
The well-preserved gold-tone dial features an elegant vertically brushed finish that catches the light beautifully. Its printed black text and minute track remain crisp and intact, providing excellent legibility. Applied black stick indices are similarly well-preserved, perfectly matched by the black stick hands which show minimal signs of wear or oxidation. Under magnification, very minor dust or micro-spotting is visible, though the dial retains a remarkably clean character with strong typography throughout.
Case and Crystal
The 20mm gold-plated case presents with honest vintage wear, displaying moderate surface scratches and handling marks consistent with its age. Visible tarnish and oxidation are present on the plating, particularly noticeable on the lugs, such as the top left. The integrated bezel shares this honest wear and light tarnish. The ribbed crown is unsigned and shows some wear to its plating. The stainless steel snap-on caseback exhibits light scratches but retains clear inner markings. Covering the dial is a flat acrylic crystal that remains clear, free of major scratches, cracks, or chips, with only very light micro-scratches visible under harsh lighting.
Movement
Powering this timepiece is the manual-winding Omega Caliber 625, a 17-jewel movement displaying the brand's traditional copper-colored plating, which remains bright and well-preserved. The movement shows no obvious signs of heavy corrosion or moisture damage, while the screw heads display only minor handling marks. Engravings across the bridges are clear and distinct. +50+56s/day. Running in operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the watch.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a brown reptile-grain leather strap. It is a worn but serviceable vintage-style strap, showing moderate wear and creasing from previous use.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial and hands are excellently preserved, maintaining their crisp typography and clean brushed finish. The gold-plated case and unsigned crown show honest vintage wear, with moderate scratches and noticeable tarnish and oxidation, particularly around the lugs. The crystal is clear and free of significant damage. The manual-wind movement is visually clean and bright, supported by timegrapher data confirming it is running in operational condition.

Remarks
This Omega De Ville offers a highly legible, minimalist aesthetic characterized by its sharp black-on-gold dial contrast. The honest patina on the case paired with a remarkably clean dial makes this an appealing, wearable example of classic late 1970s design.
History
Introduced in the 1960s as part of the Seamaster line before becoming its own independent collection in 1967, the Omega De Ville was created to represent the brand's more refined, elegant design language. By the late 1970s, standard production ladies' models like this Reference 511.0371 exemplified this philosophy with clean lines and classic proportions. Driven by the reliable manual-winding Caliber 625, these 20mm round dress watches were designed for sophisticated daily wear, prioritizing timeless aesthetics and straightforward mechanical performance.
