Dial and Hands
The light silver and cream dial presents an honest vintage character with an even, age-appropriate patina and visible spotting scattered across the surface. Applied gold-tone faceted indices and a classic pearl dot minute track provide elegant contrast. The original gold-tone stick and leaf hands show matching age to the dial, with light oxidation and spotting visible under magnification.
Case and Crystal
The well-preserved solid 18k yellow gold case is defined by sharp lug geometry and a distinctive faceted design. The polished finish and thin, integrated bezel exhibit light surface scratches and honest wear consistent with age. An unsigned ribbed crown shows some visible oxidation and wear, while the inside of the caseback bears a K18 hallmark. The domed acrylic crystal remains clear with no major scratches or cracks visible.
Movement
Inside is a clean manual winding movement, featuring plates and bridges that show only light handling marks under magnification. The movement bears the engravings INTERNATIONAL WATCH Co, SWISS, and the serial number 1265774. Recording -15-17s/day on the timegrapher, it is exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement was serviced on 1 September 2026.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a high-quality black leather strap featuring contrast stitching, which appears to be in near-new condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 1 September 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The solid gold case retains its sharp faceted lugs, displaying honest wear and light surface scratches. The dial and hands exhibit an even patina with scattered spotting and light oxidation. The crystal is clear, and the strap remains in excellent shape.
Dimensions
The case measures 34mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This solid 18k gold vintage IWC offers an attractive combination of distinctive case geometry and reliable mechanical performance. The classic pearl dot minute track and beautifully aged dial make it a compelling choice for collectors of mid-century dress watches.
