Dial and Hands
The dial of this Seven Star V2 is a visual delight, presenting a rich, deep blue base bisected by a subtle, painted crosshair. The surface appears exceptionally clean, free from any notable moisture damage, spotting, or significant discoloration. The applied, chunky gold-tone indices are faceted, catching the light dynamically and providing a strong contrast against the dark background. The applied Citizen logo and the printed "Seven Star V2 25 Jewels" text remain crisp and fully intact. The gold-tone baton hands are well-preserved, showing only minor, age-appropriate oxidation upon close inspection. A framed day-date window sits at the three o'clock position, adding practical functionality without disrupting the dial's balance.
Case and Crystal
The 36mm stainless steel case features a robust, cushion-like profile typical of the early 1970s. The case lines remain well-defined, with the factory brushing on the upper surfaces contrasting with the polished, sloping flanks. Some smaller scratches are visible on both the case and the faceted crystal, reflecting honest use over the decades, but there are no deep gouges or signs of heavy over-polishing. The crystal retains its geometric visual interest, and the original crown is present and easily operable. The screw-down caseback is clean, with all factory engravings, including the reference and serial numbers, remaining clearly legible.
Movement
Powering this timepiece is the Citizen Caliber 7290, a 25-jewel automatic movement known for its reliability. The movement presents cleanly, with the "CITIZEN 25J" engraved on the rotor and the caliber number "7290" stamped on the mainplate clearly visible. The movement exhibits remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher result shows a deviation of 13s+15s/day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a modern, textured black leather strap featuring contrasting yellow stitching that perfectly complements the gold-tone accents on the dial. The strap is in excellent, lightly worn condition and secures with a standard black buckle.
Condition
This Citizen Seven Star V2 is presented in good vintage condition. The dial is remarkably clean and vibrant, while the case retains its strong, original geometry with smaller scratches commensurate with age and use. The faceted crystal displays further scratches but maintains overall charisma. The movement is running strong and accurately.

The "V2" designation denoted an evolution in this lineup, often featuring more adventurous case shapes and dial executions, perfectly capturing the bold design language of the early 1970s. These watches stand as a testament to Citizen's innovative spirit and design prowess during a highly creative era in watchmaking.
