Dial and Hands
The well-preserved and attractive dial features a champagne sunburst finish that catches the light beautifully. Applied gold-tone Roman numerals provide a refined visual anchor, complemented by a framed date window at the 3 o'clock position. Lume plots sit at the outer edge of the indices, and the dial remains in very clean condition with minimal signs of aging. The original gold-tone dauphine hands display minor oxidation on their metal surfaces, and their luminous inserts show natural aging and darkening consistent with the watch's 1967 production year.
Case and Crystal
The case geometry incorporates an integrated 10k rolled gold plate bezel and a stainless steel caseback, presenting honest wear consistent with its age. Scratches and wear are visible on the lugs and bezel edges, along with minor plating wear and tarnish on the lug undersides. The ribbed crown is unsigned and shows light wear. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, remaining clear with minimal visible surface wear.
Movement
Powering the watch is the Bulova caliber 11 ALACD, a 17-jewel automatic movement. The clean mechanism features engravings including "BULOVA WATCH Co," "M7," and the "BXW" import code. The rotor shows minor surface scratches, while the overall movement displays no obvious signs of corrosion or damage. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Timegrapher results show -10-15s/day.

The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrast stitching, presented in excellent condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally clean and well-preserved, while the hands show natural aging and darkening on the luminous material alongside minor oxidation. The case and bezel display honest, age-appropriate wear, with surface scratches and minor plating wear visible on the lug undersides. The domed acrylic crystal is clear. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.

History
During the mid-20th century, Bulova produced an extensive array of reliable and stylish automatic watches for the global market. The Selfwinding line represented the brand's commitment to practical, everyday mechanical timekeeping. Utilizing robust Swiss ebauches modified to Bulova's specifications, these watches offered dependable performance wrapped in elegant case designs. The M7 date code on this specific piece correctly identifies its production to 1967, a period when traditional mechanical watchmaking was highly refined just prior to the quartz revolution.
